These Back To School Hairstyles Will Have You Be The Queen

School is (almost) in session. With each new school year, it's natural to want to switch up your day-to-day look. Whether you're looking to completely reinvent your style, or add a few new looks to your rotation, we've got you covered. Here are simple, easy back-to-school hairstyles that you don't want to miss.

Dutch-and-Fishtail Braid Combo

If you’re the person your friends always text when they need help testing out a new braid hairstyle—or you just want to show off serious hairstyling skills—look no further than this combo braid. The genius of this is that it’s customizable. You can opt to do the Dutch braids, the fishtail braid, or both. First, part your hair in the center. Pin one section so it’s out of your way, and then do a Dutch braid with the other, stopping and securing it with a hair tie when you reach the nape of your neck. Repeat with the other section and combine the two braid tails. Then, if you have the time (or want to go the extra mile) you can fishtail braid it, securing it at the ends with another hair tie.

Rope Braid

This type of braid is the easiest, as it doesn’t require complicated plaiting. Just take a section of hair from your temples up to your crown, divide this into two sections, cross them over each other in a twist. Add more hair as you go along, and continue crossing these two sections until you reach the tips of your hair. Secure your hair with an elastic or hair tie, and you’re done!

Pinned Curls

Double up on statement clips for a look that's equally interesting and easy to style. Bonus points for matching the barrettes to your outfit or adding every Southerner's favorite accessory, pearl

Double Buns

Quick, twisted buns have never looked so put together. Make sure to twist the two pieces of hair closest to your face back into the double buns.

Bob with Headband

Headbands were a popular hairstyle accessory for school going girls and there’s no reason they can’t find their way back into your daily wear. Add one in a bright shade to a short wavy bob for a pop of color.
